The Neighborhood:
Among the best neighbourhoods in Lisbon, with large houses, palaces and carefully preserved mansions, this is a quiet and important area. Lapa itself is known as the neighbourhood of embassies. It is one of the nicest neighbourhoods in Lisbon, with large and old houses perfectly preserved, many of them old palaces and mansions. The imposing Basilica da Estrela marks the meeting point for many groups, right in front of the Jardim da Estrela, where the older ones spend the afternoon playing cards and the children have fun in the playground. This garden at the top is the only flat point, and the whole neighbourhood unfolds downwards, on one of the many hills of Lisbon. Thus, as in other parts of the city, many of the rooms have breathtaking views. You can see the Tagus River and the 25 de Abril Bridge in the distance.
